Mitt slates speech on his Mormonism


Steve Benen over at the Carpetbagger Report explains why he thinks Romney's speech will be a political failure.

The article makes some good points, mainly that Romney, because he's trying to court the crazy christian GOP vote, has painted himself into quite the corner. He can't argue that he'd respect the separation of church and state because, hell, they don't respect the separation of church and state; and he can't talk too proudly about being a mormon because, like all religious hypocrites, the only fairy tale they believe in is their own. Funny, actually!
