They also played the media in general leading up to the war in Iraq. I disagree with Bartlett on that issue. The mainstream media totally blew it. With only a couple of exceptions, the media repeated everything the administration said without checking its accuracy. Bill Moyers did a special on this last spring. Why does it seem the Republicans are so much better at this than the Democrats?
