The Baseball Hall of Shame

Former Baseball Commissioner Bowie Kuhn has been elected to the Hall of Fame, but not deservedly.

I totally agree with Fay Vincent that Kuhn should not be in the Hall, but Marvin Miller absolutely should be. It's been corrected stated that Miller had more impact on baseball than anyone else in the last 60 years. I don't agree with Vincent's assessment that it was Kuhn who dropped the ball on free agency. He was only doing the bidding of the owners, who were incredibly stupid. The definitive work on this subject is a book titled "The Lords of the Realm" by John Helyar. It's a history of baseball ownership and is a "must-read" for anyone who wants to understand why today's game is the way it is.
