A thought to end the day

Lots of American kids who were only in eighth grade at the start of the war in Iraq will be going off to college this coming fall.

Some others, of course, will join the military, and probably some of them will die in a war that began when they were barely 14 years old.

Your point?

My point is that it's been a much longer and costlier war than its architects suggested it would be. Most Americans, including numerous retired generals and other militarhy personnel, want the Bush administration to pull the plug on this tragic misadventure.

I'm sorry, I missed that. I read your statement as something akin to "Lots of 16 year olds who weren't even born when the automobile was invented over 100 years ago will be getting there drivers license this year. Some will be driving to work or school and others will be killed in auto accidents."

I suppose what you meant to say was along the lines of "Automobiles have been going faster and killing more people than their inventors ever envisioned and most Americans would like the Bush Administration to outlaw their use."

Now I get it.
